Packed full of spring goodness, this rare tea is exclusively sold to our supplier and the remaining harvest is auctioned off on the Japanese market for extremely high prices. This mountainous grown green tea has notes of sweet and earthy grass, strong umami, nori and hints of chestnuts with a creamy texture and balanced astringency.
Grown and processed using the same age old techniques first perfected in Japan this tea is bought to life (and to our favourite mugs during tea break) by some very passionate Australian farmers. The climate conditions in the southern alpine regions of Australia similarly mimic that of the conditions found in many of the best Japanese green tea farms. The altitude and distinct four seasons helps these plants mature and build in hardiness and nutrients. The Camellia Sinensis plant accumulates nutrients over the winter and as Spring arrives these beneficial nutrients can be found in the leaves.
